69 Park Lane is a landmark building that occupies a prominent corner site in the heart of Croydon. The building has undergone a comprehensive refurbishment over 19,000 sq ft to include Grade A office spaces, enlarged entrance, gym, café, and secure bike storage. Croydon has emerged as the UK’s fastest growing economy and a leading hub for tech companies. 69 Park Lane provides a welcome addition to meet the need for high quality commercial space in the borough.
Picked up by GDS in its infancy, we worked side by side with both Architect and Consultant to develop a lighting and control solution befitting this notable location. GDS took full responsibility for all lighting calculations, layouts, specification, and manufacture across the entirety of the project inclusive of all internal and external requirements. Both the Reality, and Focus series feature prominently throughout and deliver a high quality, uniform light that is individually tailored to this highly desirable space.
The solutions devised for 69 Park Lane incorporate numerous elements from GDS’ key ranges. With a focus on a sleek, contemporary aesthetic we utilised a wide range of luminaires to suit so many diverse applications under one roof. A challenging programme through a period of great uncertainty for the industry was met with a collective effort from the engineering and design teams at GDS in close partnership with both ThirdWay Contracts and Paul Earl.
